InfomatiX is proud to announce that the newest member of the Spotfire Academic Program is the University of Warsaw. The unique Spotfire course launched for university graduates and MBA students in mid-May.
InfomatiX has always put large emphasis on extending the educational base for Spotfire at universities in Central Europe. We formally began our cooperation with the Warsaw University in January 2014. Since then we worked on launching a several initiatives – one of them being the Spotfire Academy.
Spotfire Academy is a specialized class that teaches students basics of Business Intelligence and usage of Spotfire. Started on May 23, the course engaged the best students in the Faculty of Management as participation was only granted for students selected and invited by their professors.
Since the first class, the Spotfire Academy has had great feedback from the students. While being limited only to Faculty of Management, the news about “great data analytics course” has spread quickly, and on the same week as we launched the program the professors started to receive emails from students of other Faculties of Economic Studies, if they would be allowed to enroll too.
The Faculty is not only delighted with the quality of the class, based on feedback they received from students, but also with the fact that the University-InfomatiX cooperation and Business Intelligence/Spotfire could quickly gain positive exposure to other faculties and students.
Together with the professors of the University of Warsaw, InfomatiX intends to introduce Spotfire and BI into daily operations of the university – classes, operations, and projects.
